The thing with phlebotomy jobs is a catch 22. Without practical experience is very difficult to find employment as a phlebotomist, and once you have the experience required, you will turn down jobs left and right.

One of the biggest employer of phlebotomists are the Blood Banks. Looking on the Blood Bank directory, you will find which ones are eligible for you. After that, just contact them directly and ask them about oppenings.

 

Medical laboratories are another type of organisation which does employ regularly phebotomists. CorpuNet is one big independent laboratory that hire phlebotomists technicians.

 

Sometimes the jobs are not actually advertised as phlebotomists but as Medical Technologist or Lab Tech. This type search is particularly useful if you search on an  online search engine or online job portal such as Indeed.com or Monster.com.

 Tired of sending resumes left and right without result? What if you could work from home or better say, travel to your patients to take blood. This is particularly helpful for those who have other commitments and can not have a full-time position. The way it works is that you work on a contractual basis for insurance companies.
